About This Program

The Canada Workers Benefit is a refundable tax credit intended to supplement the earnings of low-income workers. It provides up to $1,518 for single individuals and up to $2,616 for families. Many eligible Canadians miss this benefit simply by not filing their taxes or not knowing it exists.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1Must be 19+ years old (or have spouse/common-law partner or dependent child)
  • 2Working income must exceed $3,000
  • 3Net income below $33,015 (single) or $43,212 (family)
  • 4Must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes

  3. 3CRA will automatically calculate if eligible
  4. 4Apply for advance payments using Form RC201
