About This Program
The Canada Greener Homes Initiative offers homeowners grants of up to $5,000 to help make their homes more energy-efficient. Eligible retrofits include insulation, windows, doors, heat pumps, and solar panels. Some provinces also stack additional rebates on top.
Eligibility Requirements
- 1Must own and live in the home being retrofitted
- 2Home must be your primary residence
- 3Must complete a pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation
- 4Retrofits must be completed by eligible contractors
How to Apply

- 2Schedule a pre-retrofit EnerGuide home evaluation
- 3Complete eligible home improvements
- 4Schedule a post-retrofit evaluation and submit your claim
